Maybe this should'nt really be in the "pets corner" but it has to do with "pesty wanna be pets" ! I found it at http://www.idealbite.com/ in case you want to sign onto get their newsletters. They are excellent ideas and always thinking about nature etc.
Keep rodents at bay. Ready to chew into our favorite comforter and spreading disease, we're not fans of rodents unless they're outside (or running in one of those wheel things in a cage).
Avoid exposing kids and pets to chems. In the US, as many as 50,000 kids under age 6 are poisoned by rodenticide each year. Catch-and-release traps and high-frequency sound repellers are more humane. Glue traps and typical pest poisons like anti-coagulants, bromethalin and zinc phosphide have effects we wouldn't wish on our worst enemies.
Personally Speaking
Jen's got one of the best all-natural options: she adopted a cat (http://www.idealbite.com/dailytip/link.php?URL=aHR0cDovL2lkZWFsYml0ZS5jb20vdGlwbGlic mFyeS90aXAucGhwP3RpcD0yMDA2MDkwOA%3D%3D&Name=&EncryptedMemberID=NTY5MTI%3D&CampaignID=2&CampaignStatisticsID=91&Demo=0&Email=4fpetsit@pacbell.net). Froggy has performed brilliantly, catching 6 mice since moving in.
Wanna Try
Note: catch and release traps work when you release the little buggers far from home, but if you really want 'em to stay away for good, a cat is definitely your best bet.
